Target consumers are going gaga over the retail chain’s latest holiday advertisement blitz which features the 20th-century incarnation of the legendary Santa Claus who has set off from his home in the North Pole albeit in a more modern form of transport.
Guess who is the modern-day anta? He is Brent Bailey who is essaying the role of the modern Santa a.k.a. Kris Kringle.
The transformed modern iteration of Santa has enamoured fans who called it adorable and even sexy. With Christmas just round the corner,r all commercial entities are putting all efforts to augment festive buying sentiments and Target is no exception.
Target has roped in Brent Bailey as Target employee “Kris K.” also known as Kris Kringle to woo the consumers. Dressed in a tight quarter-zip red sweater and khaki pants, the modern-day Santa is using his raw masculine aura to woo his audience.
The first of a series of Ad blitzkrieg by the retail chain features the 41-year-old actor with silver hair driving a red Ford Bronco instead of a sleigh pulled by reindeer in a 30-second commercial aptly titled “Born to Be Kris”.
Incidentally, the license plate of his vehicle displays “Sleigh”. Kris Kringle gets out of his vehicle outside a snow-decked Target store and the song by Steppenwolf, “Born to Be Wild” plays in the background.
Target also detailed the ad on YouTube and wrote,
“Meet Kris, our newest Target Team Member. He loves the holidays as much as the next guy. Actually, way more than the next guy. Actually, way more than anyone we know. Actually, more than anyone knows. But hey, that’s not important. What is, is that shiny red Bronco and perfectly coiffed beard.”
Bailey also posted the holiday ad on his Instagram handle on November 14 and fans were enamoured by his overall attraction and his silver-grey beard.
One viewer commented,
“Sexy Target Santa… Not your Momma’s Santa,”
In the second ad which is titled “He’s Hot But These Target Turkey Deals Are Hotter”, Kris details to a female consumer about Target’s holiday bonanza which offers consumers 79 cents per pound of Thanksgiving turkey this year.
The female consumer who is smitten by Kris’ charm calls her friend and says,
“It was Santa Claus, and he’s weirdly hot.”
